For our first jam-session we went to an old train-station called Nedre Charlottenlund. It  was in November 2009.

The jam-session posed the questions:

  1. Shall we play ourselves?
  2. Do we need to practice?

The session was documented by Small Mustache Productions © 2009

(…where we researched the dodgy art-guy and came up with the band-idea…)

Helle and Magnhild were still fired up about the idea of forming a band. At the second band-meeting, during breakfast, we tried to remember all the ideas that had whizzed through the air the previous night.

We made a forum at http://www,underskog.no, called “Ideas for the band”, where we decided to capture our ideas.

One of the things that stands out from that first band-meeting is the shared feeling of how wonderful it would be when people asked us “So what do you do?”, and we could answer “I’m in a band”.

Some time was spent on brainstorming on a name for the band, but none have stood out so far.

We very quickly came up with the idea that what the band needed was documentation. – Of it’s many conflicts, the forming of the band, the jam-sessions, gigs, tours and how the band develops.

We also started brainstorming on characters for the band and styling, costumes and band-merchandise. Magnhild for instance talked at length about the white leather-boots she had worn as a tambourin-major! Where the Mamas in The Mamas and the Papas also inspired by this?

Hello world!

As part of DKF’s continuing gender research initiative the members went to an art exhibition in search of the true, dodgy art-man. Does the dodgy art man still exist? Is it just a myth? And if he is real, is he as dodgy as alleged? And what on earth is concealed underneath that long coat? The research is part of DKF’s preparation for a drag band that offers an alternative to dodgy art performances. DKF questions the value of having to talk about your cock all the time!? DKF offers an alternative. Perhaps…

Underneath some documentation photos from the visit to the art gallery 0047 to see “Destroy all monsters” exhibition in November 2009.
